Progress report Octopus screen print 2026

PROGRESS REPORT APRIL 2026

The Stokx Octopus will return... and bring a smaller friend.

Here they are on the grid. Each square is 10cm x 10cm

You will be able to choose between a big or small octopus.

I have been searching for a new supplier for cotton jersey.

There is an excellent white quality without elastan which would be a lovely light t-shirt.

I tried out some navy- but It seemed a bit thin for a dress.

My original supplier is no longer in business. This is a pity because good quality is so often trumped by a better price... sigh.

I am on it and will keep you in the loop...

The sweet and changeable octopus is both respectable and anarchic.

What is not to like ?

I am delighted that  Dylan, the screen printer that took over my former studio, is up for another print run.

My challenge is to find some good fabrics to print on.

Your job is to say what colours you would like and whether the rakish angle is appealing.

Hey Lindy,
my Octopus-dress is wearing thin, so it is about time for a new run.
I am in for everything around pink, petrol, reddish.
No black, white, pastel, green or blue for me though…

But the two different sizes won’t be on one piece of fabric, will they?
Love, Kathrin

Dear Lindy,
the octopus is really lovely! I think it would look great in light indigo on indigo fabric. Or in aqua on petrol-colored fabric. I don’t look good in black or white clothes, but dark blue would also be nice too.

Regarding the angle, I think it would look even better if it were “swimming” a little more upright. 22.5° rotatet to the right. :)

Will you be selling the fabric online? – Unfortunately, I can’t come to Berlin.

…I’m looking forward to sew an octopus shirt or dress…

Hallo Lindy!
Ich wäre wieder für Streifen in Jerseyqualität.
Und gerne helle Farben.

Ooo I love these Lindy. Not sure Id do white (unless woven) or black (not good on me) but maybe softer colours. Navy is always a good option, but as you say quality is key. Is it definitely going to be stretch? Have you done woven before??

I’m in for some black fabric and grey, white is not my thing. This placement gives opportunities to have them to be part of both sides, not sure how exactly for a dress for me but have clear plans for how it would work for making something for hubby. I also could see them being on a straight line with the small on top so I could make a dress with both visible on the front and a width that don’t remove something of the big octi.

I’m up for getting 5 of them…. and if that means 10 octis in total, wow!!!!
