Same but DIFFERENT -The Knitterkleid and the Gossamer

Same but DIFFERENT -The Knitterkleid and the Gossamer

 Photos: Same but Different

The Knitterkleid is always on the left, the Gossamer on the right.

These dresses are both size 4 and have been made in the same fabric; cotton poplin.

Spot the differences.

The Knitterkleid has less shaping at the waist, whilst the Gossamer is slightly wider at the hem.

The Knitterkleid has a centre back seam in the upper back section whereas the Gossamer doesn´t.

 Sleeves

The shoulder dart on the Knitterkleid goes from the shoulder point to the neck point.

The Gossamer has the shoulder dart pivoted into the back raglan seam.

Announcement:

Both of these styles have a NEW raglan reach sleeve.

 The KnitterKleid

 Knitterkleid in German  = wrinkled dress in English

Knitter= wrinkled

Kleid = Dress

The Knitterkleid is a bias cut,  A-line, body skimming shape.

It has side pockets and a chaos collar.

 There is also a shorter top length option, and a long sleeve option.

Thank you to Kjerstin Vogel for these photos of the short version.

This pattern was part of the Crafteln collection, so the instructions are in German for now.

This style is  formatted to be printed onto A4 or on a 90cm wide paper.

 The new raglan reach sleeve has been added to this style and has been formatted on the stokx grid in layers so a sizes or sizes can be selected.

 The sleeve pattern is  also available separately if you already own the Knitterkleid .

The Gossamer Dress

 There is also a new raglan reach sleeve for the Gossamer.

It will also fit the Zephyr dress because these styles are closely related.

The Gossamer dress can also be primitively pleated, like the hot pink one on the  cover photo.

It is a sneaky way to avoid ironing... especially on a hot day.
