Shirt Dress

I made this dress just before I opened the first Stokx Shop in 2006.
It really is one of my best.

This piece can be worn as a dress or as a Duster coat.

There are a total of 8 belt loops (4 double belt loops). It can be styled open or closed; with the belt tied around the waist at an “Empire” waist level, or at the natural waist.

There are other useful features including BIG pockets and a reinforcement band running under the buttons- This is to prevent ripping out the bottom button when taking a massive step.

This dress was constantly in production until 2014, until all of my customers had at least one it went out of production. In 2018 I started to get requests that I produce it again. I keep trying to make a better dress, but this one ticks so many boxes.

The original dresses were made from slightly stretchy Cotton Polyamide mix, this made them drip dry and they didn´t need ironing.

Das Shirt Dress entwarf ich 2006, kurz vor der Eröffnung des ersten Stokx Shops. Es ist nach wie vor einer meiner besten Schnitte. Der Shirt Dress kann als Kleid oder als leichter Mantel getragen werden.
Es gibt insgesamt 8 Gürtelschlaufen (4 doppelte Schlaufen). Man kann das Kleid offen oder geschlossen tragen, mit dem Gürtel oberhalb der Taille als Empirekleid oder in der natürlichen Taille gegürtet.
Andere nützliche Details sind die SEHR großen Taschen und das Verstärkungsband unter den Knöpfen, damit der unterste Knopf nicht ausreißt, wenn man groß ausschreitet.
Das Shirt Dress gab es bis 2014, bis alle meine Kundinnen mindestens eines besaßen, dann ging das Kleid aus der Produktion. 2018 bekam ich die ersten Nachfragen, es wieder anzubieten. Ich bemühe mich sehr, ein noch besseres Kleid zu entwerfen, aber das Shirt Dress erfüllt so viele Anforderungen auf einmal!
Die ersten Kleider wurden aus einer leicht dehnbaren Baumwoll-Polyamidmischung genäht, dadurch konnte man sie nach dem Waschen einfach nass aufhängen und musste sie nicht bügeln.
